Tsunami’s in Azië, extreme droogte in Somalië, het verdwijnen van de Poolkappen, ontregeling van de stromingen in de Oceanen zijn niet meer de “VER VAN ONS BED SHOW”!
Iedereen weet het, het heeft allemaal te maken met de aan de gang zijnde “KLIMAATVERANDERINGEN”; mensen schreeuwen het uit op barricades en organiseren er marsen voor; doch significante veranderingen merken we niet.
In België en de buurlanden beseft men nu dat het echt menens is met de natuur; nu onze eigen mensen zwaar worden getroffen, zowel in het Zuiden als in het Noorden. De quote welke mijn grote vriend en business partner Walter steeds aanhaalt is meer dan waar:
“YOU CAN TOY WITH NATURE TILL NATURE TOYS WITH US!”
UN Secretaris-Generaal António Guterres zei op 02 december 2020 “THE STATE OF THE PLANET IS SERIOUS” en enkel menselijke activiteiten kunnen hieraan verhelpen:
“MAKING PEACE WITH NATURE”!
Helpen van de getroffenen is meer dan noodzakelijk en tevens zeer menselijk; maar je kan nog meer doen door te helpen het probleem aan te pakken bij de oorzaak; namelijk reductie van de uitstoot van CO2.
